Using Mayo Clinic's recent successes as our case study, we discuss the strategic and tactical success factors that enabled Mayo to exceed its ambitious goal, raising nearly $1.352 billion over 5 years, in which volunteers were recruited and deployed for the first time in Mayo's philanthropic program.
