Mercersburg Academy
Mercersburg Academy, an independent college-preparatory school in south-central Pennsylvania, is committed to educating the whole student, recognizing the importance of academic, athletic, and artistic excellence. All young men and women, from the novice to the most talented athlete, are encouraged to participate in the school’s 28 interscholastic sports.
Through their involvement in athletics, Mercersburg believes students build leadership skills, meet the challenges of adversity, forge enduring friendships, and develop a lifelong passion for sports. Nearly one-fourth of Mercersburg’s varsity athletes go on to compete at the collegiate level, and Mercersburg counts 54 Olympians, including 12 gold medalists, among its graduates.
Major Gifts to the School
Mercersburg Academy, a GG+A client since 2007, recently received two gifts supporting new synthetic turf for women’s field hockey and lacrosse as well as renovations to the school’s gym, including new locker rooms for both men and women.
GG+A continues to provide Mercersburg with ongoing consultation regarding its development and alumni operations, helping the school to maximize its philanthropy and achieve its goals.
