Charlotte Davis McGhee possesses more than 25 years’ experience in MIS/IT for academic and business environments. Along with extensive staff training and supervision, she has special expertise in working with computer-based systems issues and collaborating with technical departments and end-users to bridge implementation gaps.

Before joining GG+A in 1994, she spent 11 years at Reed Publishing, now Reed Elsevier, as its director of systems development. In this role, she oversaw system business analysis, design specification, testing, installation and training. Her management innovations included an executive information system for modeling and forecasting, an international system, and numerous marketing, billing and production systems.

In the early 1980s, Charlotte established Brandeis University’s management information systems department and brought office automation to the campus. In addition to her many other duties as Brandeis’ director of management information systems, she designed an online accounts receivable system that improved transaction processing productivity by more than 300 percent.

While at Radcliffe College from 1973 to 1981, she was responsible for introducing computers to the College. She also managed the computer facility, selected and installed equipment, and trained and supervised the business computing and accounting staff. At Radcliffe, she implemented an accounts receivable system that has been adopted by over 60 major colleges and universities since 1976.

Charlotte holds a bachelor’s degree from Chatham College and a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and received additional training at the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program and Coopers and Lybrand.
