Vice President for Annual Giving

Dan Allenby joined Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A) in 2009 as Vice President for Annual Giving. Dan provides a wide range of annual giving expertise and plays a large role in expanding the firm's annual giving practice across a wide variety of educational, medical, cultural, and other nonprofit sector organizations. He also provides advice and services to GG+A clients with respect to online engagement including social media, email, and website development.

Dan brings to GG+A nearly 15 years of experience in annual giving, marketing, and development. Most recently, he served as the Director of Annual Giving Strategy & Operations at Tufts University during its $1.2 billion Beyond Boundaries Campaign. During his time at Tufts, the Annual Fund grew by 21%, and in 2009 the University completed its most successful annual giving year in history.

Prior to joining Tufts, Dan served as the Director of Marketing at Georgetown University during its $1 billion Georgetown Forever Campaign where he helped grow alumni participation to record levels. He has also led annual giving and marketing programs at Boston College, National Geographic, and American University.

Dan holds an MBA from Boston College, a BA from James Madison University, and a certificate in the Management of Community Organizations from Tufts University. He serves on the Board of Directors at The Friday Forum, a Boston-based organization that develops philanthropy education programs. He writes a popular blog entitled The Annual Giving Exchange and is a frequent speaker at CASE.
