With more than 35 years of nonprofit work, Rip Haley has in-depth understanding of fundraising for major educational and medical institutions.

Before he joined GG+A in 1994, Rip was vice president for development and alumni relations at The Johns Hopkins Institutions. During his tenure there, he led the largest campaign in the University’s history at the time, a seven-year $450 million campaign that ultimately raised $644 million.

Prior to his work at Johns Hopkins, Rip served as vice president for institutional relations and then vice president at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. He began his career in higher education at Cornell University, where he served as assistant director of development, then director of the Cornell Fund and, later, director of development.

A former United States Army First Lieutenant, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Business Administration.
