Fertitta Veterans Program

An innovative program specifically designed for U.S. military veterans and active duty students to support their transition to business school – financially, academically and professionally.

NYU Stern recognizes the significant transition our veterans face in going from the military to business school.  And, thanks to the generous $15 million endowment from alumnus Lorenzo (MBA ’93) and brother Frank J. Fertitta III, [the school] established the Fertitta Veterans Program in 2016 to support that transition.

The School projects that approximately 20 incoming full-time MBA military students who are accepted into the Fertitta Veterans Program will receive scholarship support that reduces their tuition to a flat $30,000 per year.  Students who qualify for veterans benefits, including Yellow Ribbon funding, will continue to be eligible to receive those benefits. U.S. Military veterans and active duty students who are admitted to Stern but not awarded the Fertitta Veterans scholarship, can also request to participate in the Fertitta Veterans Program.
