Ricci family’s $5 million gift to Notre Dame will support marching band and RecSports

Kenn and Pamela Ricci of Willoughby, Ohio, have made a $5 million gift to the University of Notre Dame for an outdoor home for the Band of the Fighting Irish and for students participating in RecSports.

The facility will be named Ricci Family Fields and will be used by the Notre Dame marching band as a rehearsal field. When not in use by the band, Ricci Family Fields, along with two additional lighted turf fields, will be used for more than 1,000 games and by 10,000 students participating in various RecSports activities annually.

Kenn Ricci graduated from Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy in 1978. While an undergraduate student, he was a member of the marching band, before earning a juris doctorate from Cleveland State University.
