University of Virginia Announces $5 Billion Fundraising Initiative

This month, the University of Virginia announced a $5 billion fundraising initiative to strengthen “core priorities” – Faculty, fellowships, student access, and affordability – in the advancement of new and existing programs and capital projects.

The campaign began its quiet phase July 17, 2017; the public phase will start fall 2019 and extend through spring 2025.

“The generosity of the University’s supporters always has been, and will continue to be, a driving force behind UVA’s commitment to providing the world’s finest residential educational experience, offering world-class patient care and conducting research that benefits our society,” said campaign chair Peter M. Grant II.
