Children’s Memorial Foundation (Chicago)
A world-class pediatric hospital, Children’s Memorial needed a new, state-of-the-art hospital facility to continue providing the very best patient care. Children’s engaged GG+A to help design and mount a campaign that included a minimum of $250 million for the new hospital as its centerpiece. They established a working goal of $400 million, but raising sufficient funds for the new hospital remained a challenge. GG+A helped Children’s build a strategy that focused on securing lead gifts for the new facility from the Board and volunteers, generating momentum and strengthening the argument for the new hospital building. Children’s campaign raised more than 80 percent of its goal before the public launch, including a $100 million gift for the new building—the largest-ever gift by an individual to a children’s hospital.
