In a career that spans more than a decade, Dan Lowman’s pioneering work with prospect analysis has been used at thousands of organizations around the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Lebanon, Israel, Australia, and New Zealand. Dan has worked with hundreds of educational and cultural organizations, as well as many national service and advocacy groups.
Recent Accomplishments
In his various roles at GG+A since joining the firm in 2000, Dan continuously creates innovative prospect analysis solutions for all GG+A clients. He led the team that, in 2004, developed and launched DonorScape®, the first-ever Web-based prospect screening service.
In that same year, Dan collaborated with Cambridge University and the University of Aberdeen to create the first screening service available to organizations in the UK. In his current role at GG+A, Dan has pioneered approaches to member-to-donor programs across a range of organizations, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Philadelphia Zoo, the San Francisco Symphony, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and many others.
Selected GG+A client work includes:
- The American Cancer Society, collaboration with the national office in Atlanta to develop a national major giving initiative to prioritize and manage their prospect database of more than 50 million donors
- Emory University, targeted prospect lists that led to more than $10 million in new gifts to the university
- Johns Hopkins Medicine, creation of a revolutionary approach to daily screenings to enable fundraising staff to develop a comprehensive grateful patient program
- Methodist Hospital augmentation of screening results with thousands of custom survey responses to identify prospects with wealth and affinity with the hospital
Career Snapshot
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and demographics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Slovakia for three years before joining GG+A.
