David C. Wu brings to his clients more than 20 years of professional experience in higher education development and fundraising. He currently is Vice President for Development at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle.
Recent Accomplishments
Previously, David served the University of Washington in a variety of senior development roles. As Associate Vice President for Campaign and Development Programs, David provided leadership and direction for a comprehensive eight-year, $2.5 billion capital campaign. As the University’s Acting Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, he created solicitation strategies and led a staff that raised a record $239 million in private gifts and grants. Previously, as Assistant Dean for Development and External Affairs in the College of Arts and Sciences, David was instrumental in developing and implementing the College’s first strategic planning initiative.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Bowling Green State University.
