Bob Alsobrook brings clients more than 30 years of experience in consulting and fundraising for major educational and medical institutions. Since joining GG+A in 1990, Bob has worked with a number of diverse non-profit organizations, including large private and public research universities, small liberal arts colleges, health and medical centers, museums and independent schools, among many others.
Recent Accomplishments
Selected GG+A client work include:
- Bucknell University, assessment of institutional readiness to conduct the next comprehensive campaign and development of operating plans and timetables to execute the campaign’s strategies
- The University of Southern California, providing ongoing advancement program counsel and strategic planning for a multi-billion dollar campaign
- Fordham University, work on a multi-year $500 million campaign, including donor market assessment, organization of volunteer structures, and development of a principal and major gifts program, incorporating prospect management and tracking systems
- North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System Foundation, assistance with internal campaign planning, prospect management system enhancements, establishment of a grateful patients fundraising program, and major gift prospect identification and analysis
- The University of Texas M D Anderson Cancer Center, comprehensive ongoing consulting services, including a campaign strategic planning study for the Center’s current $1.2 billion fundraising initiative
Career Snapshot
Previously, Bob oversaw development, alumni, and university relations programs at Union University. As Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement, he spearheaded the University’s Building a Future campaign that significantly exceeded its goal more than a year ahead of schedule.
He has also served as Vice President for Medical Center Development and Alumni Affairs at Tulane University. There, he managed all medical center alumni relations, public relations, and fundraising programs for the School of Medicine, the University Hospital and Clinic, and the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
Bob has also held key development positions at the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was involved in the Center’s successful Renewal campaign. Additionally, he developed and executed the operating plan for the Center’s annual fund and alumni capital campaigns, achieving a success rate exceeding all fundraising goals. Earlier in his career, he worked for the University of Memphis (formerly Memphis State University) in several development and administrative leadership roles, including as Assistant Dean for Law School Administration.
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in educational administration and supervision with a concentration in economics and finance, both from Memphis State University.
