Laurie L. Musgrove, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, brings more than 30 years of experience in consulting, fundraising, and non-profit management for public and private universities, medical centers, and cultural institutions.
Recent Accomplishments
Selected GG+A client work includes:
- Albright College, ongoing counsel as well as interim management and a campaign strategic planning study for the College’s next campaign.
- College of Charleston, a strategic planning study in anticipation of the College’s first comprehensive camapaign, ongoing counsel and interim management during a search for the Vice President for Development.
- La Salle University, a donor market assessment, review of the development organization strategic planning study to prepare for the University’s next major campaign.
- Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, assistance with refocusing the major gift program, including developing a prospect management system and working with individual major gift officers in building their prospect pools and prospect strategies.
Career Snapshot
Previously, Laurie oversaw development, alumni, and university relations at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. As Vice President for University Advancement, she spearheaded the University’s I’s About Changing Lives campaign that significantly exceeded its $35 million goal more than a year ahead of schedule.
She also has served as Assistant Vice President and Director of Major Gifts at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. There, she managed the major gifts program for the Campaign for Villanova University which exceeded its $125 million campaign a year early.
Laurie also has held key development positions at Drexel University where she successfully reorganized the Advancement program as interim Vice President for Advancement in anticipation of the University’s first campaign and managed the major gift program at The Pennsylvania State University during its successful Campaign for Penn State. Earlier in her career, she also worked for the University of Texas at Dallas in several development roles as well as development positions with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Ballet and the Fort Worth Opera Association.
Laurie holds a bachelor’s degree in Music History with a minor in Piano from Southern Methodist University.
