Mary Dombrowski brings over 15 years of progressive marketing and operations management experience to the firm. Mary’s areas of expertise include strategic marketing, client management, and process development. Her industry experience includes communications, publishing and consumer goods.
Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Mary was the Director of Operations with See3 Communications, a Chicago-based start-up firm focused on creating online communications strategies for national nonprofit organizations such as Sierra Club and American Jewish World Services. Before that, she was Business Manager of Kartemquin Films, producer of Hoop Dreams. Mary moved to Chicago from New York, where she worked in marketing and finance with two magazine publishing firms: Time Inc. and Conde Nast. Her roles included Vice President of Marketing with Time Inc. Retail Marketing, Financial Director at Architectural Digest, and Marketing Manager for Sports Illustrated. In those roles, Mary focused on using research and analytics to increase sales and exposure of the magazines while finding efficiencies in delivering the products to market.
Mary began her career in consumer goods, working for Lightolier (an east coast based manufacturer of commercial and residential lighting equipment) and Rolodex where her experience included off-shore product sourcing.
Mary received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Drexel University and her master’s degree in business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She serves as Treasurer on the Board of Kartemquin Films.
