Andrew J. Machado joined Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A) in 2014 and serves as Consulting Associate serving Academic Medicine and Healthcare clients as well as Arts & Culture and Independent School clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Andrew worked as the Alumni Coordinator at Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU), where he developed and coordinated the Graduates Of the Last Decade (GOLD) Alumni Program, identified and managed volunteers of the Class Gift Campaign, and planned and executed the first NEIU alumni reunion in 27 years.
Previously, Andrew was the Alumnae Scholarship Housing (ASH) Program Coordinator at The Ohio State University, where he was responsible for supervising and managing the cooperative living program for high-achieving women with financial need. Andrew began his work in development while serving as the Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director of External Relations at The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force in Washington, D.C.
Andrew currently volunteers for AIDS Foundation of Chicago, where he helps identify and cultivate prospects to sponsor the AIDS Walk/Run and Chicago Marathon to benefit the Foundation. He has also volunteered for his reunion and class campaign at the University of California, Berkeley.
Andrew studied sociology, education and Portuguese at the University of California, Berkeley, and received his master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from The Ohio State University.
