Emily Minehart, Knowledge Resources Associate, facilitates research requests, manages GG+A’s digital assets, and maintains the firm’s digital and physical classification systems.
Prior to joining GG+A, Emily served as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), where she worked in archival processing at the Rare Book & Manuscript Library. Her duties included addressing reference questions on the Library’s virtual and physical resources, as well as assisting in the curation of exhibits and creating social media content.
Her additional experience in research and archives includes a position with Objective Paradigm as a Research Specialist and with Black Metropolis Research Consortium as an Archival Processing Assistant. Emily’s background also includes an internship at the Knowledge Center at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. As an intern, Emily assessed archival processing needs, arranged and described Center collections, and co-managed a team on inventory activities for the Bank’s summer book drive.
Emily earned her double BA in history and religious studies from the University of Chicago. She also received an MSLIS with a Certificate in Special Collections from UIUC.
