Jessica Velazquez, Client Engagement and Diversity Coordinator, joined GG+A assisting the administrative, business development, and marketing teams before assuming her current role in July 2016. Jessica’s responsibilities include client-facing coordination and communications, cultivating diversity initiatives and opportunities externally and within the firm, and supporting GG+A’s Chief Client Officer.
Prior to joining GG+A, Jessica facilitated DePaul University’s diversity and best practice employment initiative as the Student Temporary Services (STS) Assistant Manager at the Office of Student Employment. In this role, Jessica recruited DePaul’s diverse and talented students for internal positions. She also cultivated student employment requests from internal departments, and developed relationships between STS and DePaul’s department heads.
Jessica’s previous experience includes literary research at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she investigated the psychological effects of the prison experience on language in Latino males, as well as conducting telephone interviews for NORC at the University of Chicago. She graduated from DePaul University with a B.A. in English, Literary Studies in 2016.
