Mike Davison joined GG+A in February 2015 as its Chief Financial Officer. Mike oversees the financial operations of the firm, including strategic planning, financial and management reporting, contract management, and accounting. He brings nearly 20 years of leadership in operations management, financial analysis, reporting, and metric-driven cost management.
Mike most recently served as Affiliate Controller and Senior Operations Manager at The Boston Consulting Group, in Chicago. In this role, he collaborated with senior managing partners to develop strategic plans for an office system with $270 million in revenues. Mike used financial metrics and analysis to effectively manage consultant capacity, client segmentation and cost/value opportunities. He worked with senior partners in the Operations and Health Care Practices to develop business cases for expanding the firm's presence in two major US markets. Mike also guided risk management activities throughout the organization.
Mike first joined The Boston Consulting Group as a Senior Accountant, responsible for preparing financial statements and operating plans for the firm’s Mexico, Chicago and Dallas offices. He later served for five years as International Finance Manager, where he oversaw the day-to-day financial activities of the firm’s Mexico subsidiary and developed operating plans for the firm’s offices in Chicago, Dallas, and Monterrey, Mexico.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Valparaiso University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. A Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant, Mike is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also is a member of the Kellogg Venture Community and serves on the Board of Elders at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
