Phil Oswald joined GG+A in 2017 as Consulting Vice President with 35 years of development and fundraising experience. He currently serves as Vice President for College Advancement at St. Norbert College as its chief advancement officer. He began working at St. Norbert in 2008 and has expanded the advancement team to 25, leading his team that includes annual giving, planned giving, major gifts, donor relations, corporate and foundation relations, alumni and parent relations, data analysis and advancement services. The Campaign St. Norbert – Full Ahead campaign raised over $106 million on a goal of $90 million and finished a year earlier than planned.
Phil has previously served higher education and held leadership positions at the University of Minnesota, Minnesota State University-Mankato, the University of Missouri-Columbia, and the University of Texas at Austin where he served as Associate Vice President for Development. He has had served in large campaigns that have raised over $5 billion, but also for two others that raised $35 million and $100 million, giving him experience in both large public universities and private liberal arts colleges.
He chaired the Minnesota Planned Giving Council in 2001 and led its annual conference in 2000. Phil has also spoken at the CASE Summit Conference, CASE Districts IV, V, VI, and the Engineering Development Forum.
