Tony DiPisa, Business Development Writer, is responsible for writing and editing a range of client-facing materials, including business proposals, sales presentations, marketing collaterals, web site content, newsletters, and client deliverables. In this role, he partners with consultants to understand client needs, develop solutions, and translate those solutions into compelling text.
Prior to GG+A, Tony was the Linguistics Department Instructor and Tutor at North Eastern Illinois University’s Learning Support Center where he supervised original undergraduate research proposals, as well as ESL writing samples. He has also taught English, speech, theatre, French and ESL at the high school level. He is the author of the play Stella, and his original written research includes: English & Mandarin: A Matched-guise Test for Bilingual ESL Students in the United States; English in Quebec: ‘QE’, Policy, and TESL; and his master’s thesis, The Syntagmatic-Paradigmatic Shift: Evidence for Multilinguals and Monolinguals, was recently published.
Tony holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics from North Eastern Illinois University, a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Literature from Columbia College Chicago, and a Copyediting certification from Poynter News University.
