Alisun DeKock, Knowledge Resources Manager, is responsible for the firm’s intellectual assets and information architecture. She works closely with the consultants to curate research and institutional knowledge to provide client services and develop business. She oversees the firm’s archives. As a firm that relies heavily on data, Alisun collaborates with teams across the firm to ensure that each is equipped with relevant and timely information to support their work.
Previously, Alisun was the John G. Shedd Aquarium’s Assistant Director of Information Services and Archives where she was responsible for digital assets, served as the solo librarian and information services manager, and built and stewarded the organizational archive. Her experience also includes Manager of Volunteer Services for the Adler Planetarium where she scheduled, trained, and supervised nearly 200 volunteers for multiple departments. Under her leadership, the volunteer corps grew by 42 percent and new volunteer education and recognition programs were created. Alisun is a frequent presenter at conferences centered around information and library services.
She earned her Masters of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Illinois and her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English and French, from Adrian College.
