Andrea Elliott, Manager, Special Projects, directs the Executive Practice Area to drive strategic initiatives, lead special projects, research and curate data; and edit presentations, reports, and other client deliverables.
In her role, Andrea supports Chief Executive John Glier. She collaborates with each practice area and division to develop critical internal and external materials. Using her organizational and interpersonal skills, Andrea manages the communication between the executive practice team and the rest of the firm. She also supports the development of Mr. Glier’s client facing materials, including presentations and speeches.
Andrea enjoyed nine years at the YMCA of the USA, most recently as the Donor Relations Manager for the Strategic Initiatives Fund. In that role, she helped steward investments for the Y’s largest organizational donor. She monitored a portfolio of grants to meet deliverables and timelines, wrote grant proposals, and was part of a small team that raised over $90 million dollars.
A passionate believer in the power of nonprofit support and public service, Andrea is fascinated by how government policy and philanthropy can improve society. From her experience in communications, she understands the vital process by which companies articulate their identity to themselves and to the wider world.
Andrea earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and International Studies from Aurora University, and she is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Service Management at DePaul University.
