Erica Lewis

Erica Lewis is a Staff Accountant at GG+A, where she plays a key role in supporting the firm’s accounting and financial management systems. She brings more than 10 years of experience to the firm, with expertise in tax preparation, account reconciliation, month- and year-end closing processes, and financial reporting.  

Prior to joining GG+A, Erica served in a variety of accounting roles at professional services firms and in the healthcare industry. Most recently, she worked as an accounts payable specialist at the legal firm, Cassiday Schade LLP; as well as an accountant at the intellectual property law firm, Dennemeyer & Associates, LLC. In these positions, Erica excelled at producing accurate, timely reporting in deadline-driven environments with highly confidential information, and demonstrated the versatility and adaptability of her financial management skills. Among her many contributions, she managed invoicing, facilitated accounts payable procedures, supervised bookkeeping and payroll, and prepared tax documents for businesses as well as individuals. Previously, she held accounting assistant roles at Recovery Works, a rehabilitation facility; and David Smith & Associates, an accounting firm. Erica also served as a tax analyst, accounting clerk, and tax professional earlier in her career.  

Erica holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Governors State University, where she was a student member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She also holds an associate’s degree in accounting from Prairie State College.
