Biography
Gretchen Hess is a Consulting Associate in the Executive Practice Area at GG+A, where she partners with consultants and project managers to deliver insightful presentations, reports, and other key deliverables to clients. She brings more than eight years of experience to the role, with expertise in major gift fundraising and fundraising for academic medicine.
Prior to joining GG+A, Gretchen held several development positions with the University of Kansas Endowment Association. As Associate Director of Development, she collaborated with advancement colleagues to identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate and foundation gifts of $25,000 and above, securing philanthropic support for priority initiatives. In her previous role as a Development Officer for the School of Medicine, she successfully managed the major gift qualification, cultivation, and stewardship of alumni, grateful patients, and major gift prospects. She also served as an administrative assistant and valued liaison to the Medical Development leadership team. Earlier in her career, Gretchen worked as finance assistant and events manager for Gregory Orman’s Senate campaign.
Gretchen received her Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Kansas and has served as an election poll worker for Johnson County, Kansas.
