Jacob Daquioag, Assistant Controller, is a member of the firm’s accounting and finance team. He brings experience in client relations, variance analysis, and personnel management, as well as technical expertise in Excel (Profitability model, Pricing Models, and Client Reporting), QuickBooks (Non-for profit), PerfectLaw, and SQL.
Prior to joining GG+A, Jacob served as the Accounting and Operations Manager for the law firm of Nyhan, Bambrick, Kinzie, & Lowry. In this role, he led the creation of a profitability model by department, attorney, and client for shareholders to evaluate firm performance at all levels. He additionally managed attorney workloads, client reporting requirements, and audit requests from senior management using SQL servers and Excel.
Jacob collaborated across departments in establishing an automized client liability tool to increase attorney productivity, decrease client costs, and mitigate errors. In addition to leading PerfectLaw user group meetings to educate other law firms on extracting, manipulating, and vetting data, he optimized revenues and profits by negotiating vendor contracts, sourcing alternate vendors, and working with partners to strategically staff teams.
Jacob received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern Mississippi.
