Biography
Josh Maker, Chief of Staff, Office of the President, brings to the firm an extensive background in higher education management, with a specific emphasis in editing and writing instruction. Josh will support our President in managing a wide range of critical operational and client responsibilities.
He was promoted to Project Manager in June 2017, and then to Senior Project Manager in March 2019. Prior to joining GG+A, Josh worked as the Manager for Kent State University Writing Commons, where he designed and implemented tutoring methodology for distinctive in-person and online sessions, mentored and identified writing strategies for students, and established a Mentoring Committee to provide additional support for tutor development.
Beginning in 2013, he was the Writing Center Director and Site Developer for Tallmadge Middle School, where he developed and facilitated tutor training for 30 middle school students and collaborated with faculty and administration to achieve increased student success in its language arts program.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kent State University as well as a Master of Arts in Cultural and Creative Industries from King’s College London.
