Miguel Valenzuela

Biography

Miguel Valenzuela is a Project Manager Analyst at GG+A, where he partners with a team of consultants and project managers to deliver comprehensive presentations, data-driven reports, and other relevant materials to clients. He plays a key role in coordinating workflows, compiling data, and performing comparative data analytics for multiple client projects. Miguel brings more than five years of experience as a data analyst to the firm, with expertise in quantitative research, statistics, survey design, and more.

Prior to joining GG+A, Miguel taught high school mathematics in Lawrence, Mass., as part of an AmeriCorps service year. He later joined Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Center in Boston as a program developer. Among his contributions, Miguel analyzed participant survey responses to derive insights and improve retention for a series of accounting and finance workshops for local entrepreneurs. His interest in data science and education inequality led him to pursue graduate studies in economics at the University of Texas at Austin, where he also worked as a graduate research assistant. In addition, Miguel studied public policy at University of Chicago, continuing his exploration of educational finance and access. His research on DACA designation and academic achievement was awarded “Best Paper” from the American Economic Association’s (AEA) summer program, and he received a $4,000 Committee on Education Fellowship research grant for his work in educational access research.

Along with his Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and his Master of Arts in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, Miguel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
