Patty Hill-Callahan, Senior Vice President, brings over 25 years of development experience in higher education, arts & culture, and academic medicine. With a strong track record of engagement and retention, Patty helps client institutions ignite their fundraising through capital campaign planning and execution, major and principal gift pipeline development, targeted donor outreach programming, and more.
Before joining GG+A, Patty served as the Vice President of Medical & Health Sciences Advancement at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. In this role, Patty devised and led the implementation plan for the $1.95 billion medical center and health sciences campaign. She engaged key stakeholders and community volunteers to identify fundraising priorities, analyzed and prioritized donor pool, built and managed a high-performing team and volunteer corps.
Prior to this role, Patty served as the Associate Vice President, Principal Gifts at Johns Hopkins University where she developed and executed prospect identification, solicitation, and stewardship strategies—for gifts of at least $5 million—key funding 60% of philanthropic revenue for the University’s Capital Campaign. She revamped the Office of Gift Planning to improve donor identification, cultivation and solicitation accelerating dollars raised by 58% between FY11 and FY12.
In her time with Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Patty acted as the Interim Chief Development Officer, where she planned and managed the hospital’s advancement programs—including major, principal, planned, corporate, and foundation giving.
She received her Bachelor of Arts from Mount Saint Mary’s University, as well as her Business of Medicine Certification from Johns Hopkins University and Fundraising Management Certification from Goucher College.
