Rachel Kaplan, Director of Client Projects, serves as the project manager to CEO John Glier in support of the firm's Executive Practice area. Prior to joining GG+A, Rachel was Deputy Director at the Chicago Architecture Biennial, an organization committed to convening global thought leaders to present educational programming that explores key concepts about the built environment. In this role, Rachel developed and managed systems for team capacity building and supported institutional growth for the advancement and development of the organization; from the administrative side¬—accounting, finances, database management--to the programmatic side—exhibition production, publication management, communications, marketing and events.
Throughout her career, Rachel has also worked at a variety of cultural institutions, from international art fairs to museums, serving in administrative and programmatic roles. From 2010-2014 Rachel served as Manager of Relations at SCOPE Art Fair and Manager of Special Exhibitions at EXPO CHICAGO.
In 2019, Rachel joined ProjectArt, a national after-school art program that is in partnership with city libraries, to support programming and fundraising for the Chicago chapter.
Rachel holds an MA in Arts Administration and Policy, focused in nonprofit management and business from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BA in International Relations from the City College of New York.
