Biography

Wendy Stark Prey, Chief of Staff, brings to GG+A an extensive background in supporting strategic goals and executing mission-driven programming at for-profit, not-for-profit, and educational organizations. In her role, Wendy handles the day-to-day management of personnel and works to implement the strategic vision of the firm’s CEO.

Prior to GG+A, Wendy worked as Production Manager at Drury Lane Productions, Inc. in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.  In this role, she recruited, hired and oversaw a full-time staff of 19 in seven separate disciplines. Wendy also created and oversaw production and operating budgets with a combined total of $9.5 to $10 million per season. In addition, she collaborated with the Executive Producer to assure that the artistic standards of each production met the level of the organization.

Prior to this, Wendy worked as Costume Director at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington D.C., where she developed and oversaw short- and long-range work schedules and calendars and managed material and labor budgets with annual combined totals ranging from $950,000 to $1.25 million. She also contributed to donor cultivation and stewardship at the Theatre by conducting over 40 personal tours for major gift and principal donors. Furthermore, Wendy provided necessary departmental information to assist in securing private production support, including two $25,000 foundation grants.

Wendy holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master of Fine Arts from the University of South Dakota, and a Bachelor of Science from Wayne State College.
