Zak Stambor, Marketing Writer/Editor, works with Grenzebach Glier and Associates’ consultants and other staff to craft thought leadership articles and other marketing pieces across a variety of formats and channels.
Prior to joining GG+A in February 2020, Zak spent 16 years as an award-winning journalist. Most recently, he was editor of Internet Retailer. In that role, he set the editorial direction for the top business-to-business publication in the e-commerce industry, directed Internet Retailer’s magazine’s editorial and production processes, and oversaw the planning, assignments and editing of all of Internet Retailer's editorial content. Zak has held editorial positions at the University of Chicago, Sourcemedia and the American Psychological Association. Zak is a beer and spirits writer who regularly contributes to the Chicago Tribune, October and other publications. He is a five-time winner of the North American Guild of Beer Writers’ annual awards.
Zak is an assistant Cub Scout den leader and a volunteer baseball and soccer coach.
Zak holds two degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an M.S. in journalism and B.S. in psychology.
