Biography
Daniel Basco, Ph.D. is the Vice President & Executive Director, Philanthropic Analytics & SurveyLab at GG+A. He provides leadership and oversight to a range of philanthropic analytics services in order to plan, execute, and deliver data driven solutions and strategic consulting across all practice areas within the firm. Daniel brings over 10 years of experience to the firm, bringing expertise in

Prior to joining GG+A, Daniel was President and Management Consultant at Vertex Evaluation and Research LLC, where he developed strategies to assess efficiency and effectiveness of Federal and foundation programs. Here he designed a foundation strategy for gifting $1.5 million annually to improve access to and equity in economic empowerment programs as well as collaborated with the National Academy of Sciences to provide evidence-based recommendations to allocate $3.4 billion in annual federal chemistry funding.
Previously, Daniel conducted social science research and program evaluations while at RAND Corporation. He also provided analysis and recommendations for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and several Federal agencies on potential impacts of proposed Obama Administration policies while at IDA Science and Technology Policy Institute.
Daniel holds a B.S. in Social Policy from Northwestern University. He also holds a M.Phil and Ph.D., both, in Policy Analysis from Pardee RAND Graduate School. Daniel serves on the Fundraising.AI Advisory Council supporting the advancement of an ethical framework for using artificial intelligence in fundraising. Daniel also serves on the Research Committee for Giving USA.
