Biography

Jonathan Brooks, Consulting Associate, partners with consultants and project managers to develop presentations and reports for GG+A clients. He plays a key role in collecting data, ensuring its integrity, performing rigorous analysis, and creating clear, insightful, and accurate deliverables. Jonathan brings more than a decade of experience to the firm, with expertise in data personalization, change management, and campaign development.  

Prior to joining GG+A, Jonathan held multiple positions within higher education. He served as the Executive Director of Annual Giving for Appalachian State University, where he managed a $5-million pipeline while integrating development, marketing, and communications operations. As the Director of Annual Giving at Western Carolina University, Jonathan provided strategic direction for development and alumni communications, guided foundation and alumni boards, and led a database conversion. Previously, Jonathan held dual roles as the Associate Director of Annual Giving and Director of Development within the University of Houston System. Among his contributions, he managed his own portfolio of prospects within a $10-million pipeline and led a team through the successful completion of a comprehensive campaign. Jonathan also held program management roles earlier in his career – at the educational consultancy Ruffalo Noel Levitz and at the World Heritage Foreign Exchange. 

Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and holds a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Leadership from Western Carolina University. He has served as a speaker and thought leader for multiple professional organizations, including the Association for Advancement Services Professionals (AASP) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). He’s also presented at numerous conferences on the topics of annual giving, constituent engagement, crisis management, data analysis, direct marketing, donor relations, and pipeline development.
