Laura Hinkley

Biography

Laura Hinkley is a Vice President in the Advancement Services practice area at GG+A, where she partners with clients to strengthen their advancement systems and performance in areas such as donor relations, stewardship, reporting, and prospect management. She brings more than 25 years of experience to the firm, having previously worked in advancement leadership positions in higher education and arts and culture. 

Laura currently serves as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Earlham College, where she oversees advancement services, stewardship, and planned giving. Her role includes creating campaign strategies for marketing, communications, and prospect management, along with supervising stewardship and strategic planning. Previously, as Senior Director of Development Research and Advancement Services, Laura developed and executed Earlham’s strategic plan. This involved integrating new technology into department operations to enhance annual fund and major gifts reporting, and implementing wealth screening and other analytical tools for prospect research. In addition to working in higher education, Laura was the executive director at the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, where she collaborated with the development committee to plan and implement donor strategies, created a database for the endowment committee, and led the endowment campaign. Laura also organized the Symphony’s concerts and major fundraising events, subscriptions, and educational concerts.

Laura received her Bachelor of Arts from Earlham College, and has served on a number of nonprofit boards, including Girls Inc of Wayne County, the Association of Professional Researchers-Indiana, Beth Boruk Temple, the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, and the Indiana Orchestra Consortium. She previously served on the grants review panel for the Indiana Arts Commission Regional Partnership Initiative.
