Vice President of Business Development & Marketing
Mark Wold, Vice President of Business Development & Marketing, directs the firm’s strategic growth through prospect identification and proposal development. In his first three years with the firm, he was Associate Vice President of Consulting Resources, where he was the liaison between the firm’s consultants and consulting resources team, facilitating communication, collaboration and execution of high-quality client deliverables. He has more than 25 years of experience in higher education development management, with special expertise in program design, fundraising, proposal development, volunteer management, development operations, and strategic planning.
Prior to his role at GG+A, Mark served in various capacities at Beloit College for over 10 years, including leadership positions in Government & Foundation Relations, Annual Giving, and Alumni & Parent Relations, culminating in his service as Interim Vice President and Executive Director of Development & Alumni Engagement. During his tenure, Mark provided leadership for the sustained growth of the College’s philanthropic efforts, from innovative strategies for annual giving and alumni engagement to the design and implementation of Beloit’s modular campaign. He maintained a personal portfolio of prospects that included Trustees, alumni, parents, corporate and foundation partners, and friends of the college. He was also responsible for the acquisition and retention of Development and Alumni Relations talent.
During his time at Beloit, Mark was a catalyst for the significant transformation of the College’s Development and Alumni Relations teams and operations, resulting in those teams’ recognition for “Outstanding Performance” by CASE in 2016 and 2017.
Prior to his work at Beloit, Mark spent 10 years working in nonprofit management and higher education consulting.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in international relations & modern languages from Beloit College.
