Michael Burdett

Proposal Writer

“Without experimentation, a willingness to ask questions and try new things, we shall surely become static, repetitive, and moribund.” – Anthony Bourdain

Michael Burdett is a proposal writer on the Business Development team, where he collaborates with practice area leaders, consultants, and clients to craft business proposals that address client needs and express the value proposition of a partnership with GG+A. A former teacher, Michael’s expertise includes communications, education, and research.

Prior to joining GG+A, Michael taught English at several schools, including Whitney M. Young Magnet High School and Lake View High School in Chicago. Previously, he taught English as a Second Language (ESL) at Atlantic Five-Star English and Amslink English Center, two schools in Hanoi, Vietnam. In these roles, Michael planned and created lessons and original instructional materials; assessed student learning and progress in alignment with international education standards; and prepared student reports and action plans for diverse learners. He has also served as professional tutor for TRIO Student Support Services.

Michael completed his bachelor’s degree in secondary English education from Northeastern Illinois University, and his associate’s degree in education from Harry S. Truman College. He is a volunteer ESL tutor at South-East Asia Center in Chicago.
