Mark Aimone joins Grenzebach Glier and Associates

Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A) is proud to welcome T. Mark Aimone as consulting Vice President in the firm’s Independent Schools Practice Area.

Mark brings more than three decades of independent school experience to the firm, serving in roles from teacher, advisor, and coach to fundraiser and administrator. He has more than 15 years’ experience advancing the mission of schools as a fundraiser in annual, major, capital, and planned giving. Beginning his advancement career in 2006 at Phillips Exeter Academy, Mark served as Regional Director of Major Gifts and was part of a team that raised $352 million, the most by a secondary school at that time. From 2010 to 2016, Mark led the development program at his alma mater, Tabor Academy, where he oversaw the creation of the Fund for Tabor, a complete redesign and re-branding of Tabor’s annual fund communications, as well as fundraising for the completion of two E.E. Ford Challenge matches.

Mark currently serves and will continue to serve as Director of Advancement at Wilbraham & Monson Academy. While there, he has reorganized and refocused the development program and expanded outreach to the Academy’s alumni and parents. A recently-completed fundraising effort resulted in a new library completed in January of 2020.

A recognized leader in independent school advancement, Mark serves on the faculty of CASE’s School Advancement Institute (formerly the Summer Institute for Independent Schools) and has presented at numerous conferences, including the CASE-NAIS Independent Schools Conference.

“Mark has lived and breathed independent schools for decades – as student, teacher, coach, admissions officer, fundraiser, and administrator” says Elizabeth Kolb Farr, Senior Vice President and Independent Schools Practice Area Leader at GG+A. “I’m excited for him to share his expertise and experiences with our independent school clients and with his GG+A colleagues dedicated to serving schools.”

Since serving its first client, an independent school, in 1961, GG+A has partnered with hundreds of other independent schools to analyze advancement programs, survey donors, assess constituents’ philanthropic capability, strengthen fundraising practices, articulate compelling cases for support, train staff and volunteer solicitors, develop donor strategies, realize campaign goals, and accelerate philanthropic support. Today, GG+A serves approximately 30 independent schools annually, including co-ed and single sex; boarding and day; faith-based and secular; elementary, middle, upper, and K-12.

Grenzebach Glier and Associates is the first-choice partner for nonprofits worldwide that are seeking substantial and sustainable growth in building outreach and engagement and in the philanthropic support of their missions.

Our mission is advancing yours.
