University of Minnesota Department of Philosophy receives $1.2 million donation

setterbergThe University of Minnesota’s Department of Philosophy received the largest donation in the program’s history on Wednesday when Dr. Stephen Setterberg of PrairieCare, a local psychiatric health care provider, donated more than $1.2 million to the department. Dr. Setterberg is a long-time donor to the University.

According to University officials, the donation will be allotted incrementally over the next five years. Dr. Setterberg attended the University in the 1980s and is an alumnus of both the University’s Department of Philosophy and Medical School.
