Impact of COVID-19 on higher ed: Webinar with Georgia State president

In this webinar,Impact of COVID-19 on Higher Education: Immediate and Longer-Term Implications on Philanthropy,” GG+A Chairman Martin Grenzebach talks with Georgia State University President Mark P. Becker, whose vision of a modern public research university has helped launch a dynamic 10-year strategic plan for the institution.

Georgia State is one of the largest and oldest public universities in the U.S. with an enrollment of over 50,000 students.

Among the challenges of the current crisis, Martin and Mark discuss how Georgia State and others might move forward with a campaign.

“The narrative for our campaign has changed, but not the timing,” says Mark. “We are putting the infrastructure in place to establish our goals. Like all recessions, there will be a recovery, and that will be the right time to be deeply in a campaign.”

Listen to the entire discussion on the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19 that Georgia State has faced in the last six weeks, and the implications for philanthropy in the short- and long-term.
