Survey: Advancement offices and fundraising continue remote models with unpredictable return to in-person events

In August, more advancement offices have reopened for in-person work (20%), though 30% of offices are not planning to reopen until early 2021. No offices report currently conducting in-person events of more than 10 people. Eleven percent (11%) of offices are currently conducting in-person events limited to 10 people, while 43% of offices still don’t know when they’ll conduct smaller in-person events.

The 30-, 60-, and 90-day high negative impact remains stable at 41% or lower this month.

Methodology

Based on input from 1,715 participants, GG+A SurveyLab is conducting a weekly tracking survey of fundraising offices to provide data for the industry to understand trends and conditions stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. This report contains data collected through an online survey conducted Aug 3 to Aug 9.  These data points are compared to data collected over the previous 16 weeks: July 27-Aug 2, July 20-26, June 22 – 28, June 15-21, June 8-14,  June 1-7,  May 25-31, May 18-24, May 11-17, May 4-10, April 27-May 3, April 20-26, April 13-19, April 6-12, March 30-April 5, March 23-29 and March 16-22.
